Fine Arts for Children:
Acrylic Painting and 3-D Art

“The human nature knows no limits,
we were created to create the unlimited.”

Lecturer: Vera Leininger

The Goal :
ART- Enhancement of child’s own creativity, individual art skills and expression abilities

HANDICRAFT - Development of handicraft techniques by introduction of various materials

HEALTH & FUN - Relaxation and psychical balance through working with colours and forms

The program concentrates on development of the 2- and 3- dimensional perception. The practical “learning-by-doing” method completes the natural feeling and harmony of the art. Once the children know the concrete material, they not only follow and use the examples but cross the limits and create their very own art pieces. A small exhibition will show the results and offer the possibility to interpret the children’s individual art.

Age group: 5-12 years

Timing:
Wednesdays 4.00 – 6.00pm
Course fee*:
S$320 for 6 lessons, includes materials

* Our junior artists will receive a PaintWorks Artist Card. with membership discounts

The 6-lesson program includes following topics:

Artwork & shape (Acrylic Painting)
Drawing - Painting – Colours: The children learn the observation of the environment as a painter and how to project the object they see onto the paper. Introduction of variety in shapes and pattern by using simple materials like pencils, chalk and crayons is followed by acrylic paints. The craft of colour mixing helps to express their own ideas.

Claywork & Form (3-D Art)
Clay – Face/Mask – House/Castle: Creating their own handmade bowl, pot, face mask or house/castle takes the children to the third level of the program – about forms and space - and extends the knowledge of sculpture. Colouring of the final pieces completes the sessions.
